What accommodation
is included?

If purchasing an All-Inclusive Registration, this automatically includes accommodation at RACV Healesville, with check-in on Wednesday 1 March, and check-out on Friday 3 March (2 nights accommodation).

You can select from the different accommodation options as desired(Single Room, Couples Room, Shared Room, Family Room). If purchasing a Day-Attendee only registration, then no accommodation is included and you must organise your own access to the conference location at RACV Healesville.

For information on additional nights, please see the FAQ: What if I wish to extend my stay in Melbourne?

Is there a reduced-fee option for students or delegates from an LMIC?

Yes! This is available for almost all fee options (see Registration Information page). Students should send an email to Linden Carroll with a letter from their supervisor to confirm student status. Delegates from a Low-Middle Income Country should include their home country in the address field when registering.

What meals are included?

Breakfast is included for All-Inclusive Registration attendees (+ any additional guests, i.e. partners and family) on Thursday and Friday mornings between 7am-10am in the Banyalla restaurant. It is served buffet style, and you may take it 'to go'. If you register your interest as part of a Working Group for a Breakfast Break-Out Meeting, you will have access to the breakout rooms where you may eat your breakfast during your meeting as desired.

Lunch is included for delegates (not additional guests) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Morning and afternoon teas will also be served.

Dinner is available on Wednesday as part of the Jayden Ong dinner experience add-on. If you will not be attending this off-site dinner, you can eat at the RACV, or go into Healesville township where there are many options. If planning to eat onsite at one of the two RACV restaurants, please ensure you make a booking with the venue - online bookings here, or call (+613) 5962 4899.

Dinner is available on Thursday as part of the Gala Dinner onsite at the RACV at the Grand Conservatory. This is included for delegates (not additional guests) as part of the All-Inclusive Registration. If you are attending as a Day-Only attendee and wish to attend the Gala Dinner, make sure you select the 'Thursday with Gala Dinner' ticket registration option.

What social events are being offered to supplement the conference?

On the evening of Wednesday 1 March, after the first day of the conference has concluded, there are two social 'add-ons' available. The first is an after-hours tour of Healesville Sanctuary, a local wildlife sanctuary. The second is a dinner at the fabulous Jayden Ong Winery & Cellar Bar. Click here for more information and to register your attendance for these events.

On the evening of Thursday 2 March, after the second day of the conference has concluded, there is a Gala dinner to be held onsite at the RACV Healesville. This is included for delegates (not additional guests) as part of the All-Inclusive Registration. If you are attending as a Day-Only attendee and wish to attend the Gala Dinner, make sure you select the 'Thursday with Gala Dinner' ticket registration option when you register.

Can I host a pre-meeting for my Working Group?

Yes! Time and space has been set aside for Working Groups to hold meetings between 7am - 9am on Thursday 2 March and Friday 3 March. You will be able to bring your breakfast from the buffet (if you are staying onsite).

We ask that you register your interest in attending or hosting a Working Group pre-meeting. Click here for the Thursday breakfast meeting registration. Click here for the Friday breakfast meeting registration. Please note in the form which Working Group you belong to.

The registration is free, but do fill out the form so that we can keep track of numbers to ensure we have enough space. If you are the primary contact person for that Working Group, please make note of it in the registration form.

How do I get to the RACV Healesville?

If purchasing an All-Inclusive Registration, this automatically includes a bus transfer to and from the Melbourne CBD. The bus will depart from the CBD at 10.30am on Wednesday 1 March, and arrive in the CBD around 3.30pm on Friday 3 March. We will be in contact closer to the date for all bus users.

The pick-up and drop-off location in the Melbourne CBD is from opposite the Grand Hyatt hotel on Russell Street - click here to see the map location.

If not taking the bus transfer, you can take a taxi cab (or Uber) direct from Melbourne Airport at an estimated cost of AUD $150, taking 1h - 1h30m. Alternatively, you can use Limoz (1300 972 066) or Greg's Chauffeur Cars Airport Transfers (+61400 765 311), private chauffeur companies which come recommended by the RACV.

The address is: RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort, 122 Healesville-Kinglake Road, Healesville VIC, Australia

How do I get around in Healesville?

Healesville is considered semi-rural, located 52 km north-east from Melbourne's central business district (CBD). As such, there is limited public transportation. Furthermore, as it is rolling green hills and some farmland, it is quite spread out - for instance, walking between the RACV and the Healesville township is about a 30min walk, although it is mostly along a walking track beside the main road.

We have included a coach bus service transfer between the CBD and Healesville RACV at the start and end of the conference, and coach bus transfers between RACV and Healesville Sanctuary and the Jayden Ong Wine & Cellar Bar. We suggest calling a taxi or Uber if you wish to move around the area but do not have access to a car.

What if I wish to extend my stay in Melbourne?

Whether your flight times mean an extra night or two of accommodation will be required, or if you wish to take advantage of the trip to Australia, we recommend staying in the Melbourne CBD rather than extending your stay at the RACV Healesville. This is partly because Healesville is considered semi-rural (it is difficult to explore the area without a hire car), partly because accommodation at RACV Healesville is very limited, and partly because there is so much to see and do in the Melbourne CBD! Additionally, access to the airport is much smoother from the Melbourne CBD than from Healesville.

There are plenty of hotels in Melbourne CBD, including standards like Novotel, Sheraton, Marriott, Hyatt, Pan Pacific, or potentially cheaper options such as the Mercure, Adina, ibis, Best Western, or Quest Apartments. If you stick to a hotel within the ‘grid’ of Melbourne CBD (see map below) you should have no problems getting anywhere you need by foot or by tram and train. Southbank (see map below) can also be a nice spot, with lots of dining options along the riverbank while still being quite central.

If you’re looking just outside of Melbourne CBD, there are lots of options of varying price & style all the way down St Kilda Road (running south-east from the Melbourne CBD to the suburb of St Kilda) which is also serviced by trams and features some lovely parks and closer access to beaches such as St Kilda Beach. Another popular spot within relative closeness to the CBD is Lygon Street in the suburb of Carlton (running north from the CBD). It’s known for being a restaurant and café strip, particularly with Italian-Australian influences. Lygon Street is also serviced by trams, and is nice and close to the University of Melbourne in the suburb of Parkville.
